Six Figures (1966)

This work was Lynch's first foray into the filmmaking. Lynch only made his first movie "to see a painting move", and got hooked.

Six Figures is a looped film projected on six sculpted heads. The film shows the heads catching fire and throwing up over and over again. According to Lynch, the heads would turn into stomachs, catch fire, and vomit. A siren served as the background music for Lynch's first work.

Lynch won a contest with the film and the money he gained would help him make his next project, The Alphabet.
